After almost three years planning, TALOS has undertaken the ambitious classic rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar. Written by Andrew Lloyd Webber with lyrics by Tim Rice, this show has enjoyed a massive international following for three decades. Bringing a production of this scale and popularity to the Woolshed was a gamble, but director Louise Willis and musical director Kathy Peterson have done an admirable job. What this version of JC Superstar might lack in grandeur it makes up for in other ways and fans of the show won't be disappointed. |
