Te Awamutu Museum. Family Treasures Exhibition. Three local schools picked treasures from home, researched their history and created a very interesting display of memorabilia. Free entry.

Centennial Memorial Tribute to Dr.Lyndsay Rogers MC, 1902 - 2002. “In Music and Words” at St Andrews Presbyterian Church, Mutu Street followed by a cuppa. 4.00pm-5.30pm. “A remarkable man, larger than life, Te Awamutu’s town Doctor and benefactor, 2nd world war hero, known as the Guerrilla Surgeon. A special day and civic affair celebrating the “Time of the Roses” with its own programme including: The Rosetown Choristers in Old St Johns Church, Art and Poetry in the ‘Roses’, presentation of the Te Awamutu Garden Awards, music, food and a grand finale with the Free Concert in the Park.
