Anzac Day

Throughout New Zealand, the largest crowds in twenty years gathered to remember those who served in national conflicts.

Light rain didn't prevent a strong turnout in Te Awamutu. Returned and current servicemen, police and various community groups marched down Alexandra Street to the commemoration service at Anzac Green.

The service included the traditional Last Post, Reveille, wreath-laying, prayers and hymns.
