Executive Outhouse Derby

The week-long "Te Awamutu On Sale" promotion got underway today with the 3rd Annual Outhouse Derby & Market Day.

The main road was closed from 9:00am to 2:00pm for stalls, music, crafts, BBQ's, etc. Outhouse racing started at around 11:30am, with 9 teams taking part. Contestants raced down Alexandra Street in an "Americas Cup" style challenger series. Prizes were awarded to the overall winner, the best-dressed teams, as well as spot prizes.
