Scream makes a ‘splash’

This year’s Splash of Colour at the Te Awamutu Events Centre justified its expansion into a two-day event with a good turnout from the public and contributing artists.

By late Sunday afternoon about 400 people had taken the chance to view a wide range of artistic styles and a quality selection of works — most for sale at exceptionally reasonable prices. Working artists added to the spectacle of the event.

This weekend there is more art as part of the Festival with Popul8 currently showing at Gallery8 and a Street Art workshop this Saturday.
