Flood protection working well

Courier reporter Dean Taylor went aerial this week to check out the effects on local rivers of recent heavy and persistent rain. The flight traversed the Waipa River and its tributaries. While excess water flows created spectacular sights in some areas, there was nothing to suggest Environment Waikato statements that flood protection measures are working well and coping with the overflow were incorrect.
