Waipa-King Country Rural Women have put their money where their mouth is in supporting Freeman Court.

The Courier article outlining the launching of the campaign to upgrade the Te Awamutu rest home was published the day before Rural Women met recently to discuss which project they would provide a major funding boost for.

Te Awamutu Eventide Home Trust Board chairman, Mayor Alan Livingston said the donation was excellent in two respects - providing impetus for the fundraising campaign and demonstrating support from a community group.

Waipa-King Country Provincial covers an area from Te Rore to Taumarunui. The Provincial receives regular income from investments, built up from the sale of its building and from its home care scheme. Members are pleased to support projects that benefit residents’ health and the community - with the Freeman Court campaign satisfying both criteria.
