Civil Defence is a system of co-ordinating all available resources to assist the community in an emergency. Its main aim is to help people and is only concerned with property if it affects the welfare of people.

Family support services, counselling, budget advice, etc.

The office is open Tuesday and Thursday 9.00am-7.00pm and Wednesday 9.00am-4.00pm. Counselling is available during office hours or at other times by arrangement. Fees are assessed on the basis of income.

The Te Awamutu Homebirth Support Group meets monthly. All homebirthers welcome. Contact Karene for details of venue, etc.

Volunteer support for over 60s for shopping, doctors appointments and transport to hospital appointments. Delivered meals within a 6km radius. Contact Shirley for meals (871-7620), Mary Roose for everything else (871-6169).

In-2-Connect is a networking group that welcomes those that own a small business, are new to Te Awamutu or would like to meet new people. We meet every first Wednesday of the month at 10.00am. Interested in attending a meeting? Please contact us.
